Roomset Brief
You need to...
Design and construct a 3m x 3m room set to fit the following brief: Living space, a viable option for today's world
Emphasis should be placed on practicality and viability as well as aesthetics, bearing in mind the needs of real people. The panel of judges will be looking for originality and practicality. The room set must be 'living space'; kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms will not be permitted.
There are two separate awards, the Judges' Award and the Public Award.
Deadline for entries: 1st May 2008
Show Garden Brief
You need to...
Design and construct a 5m x 5m garden to fit the following brief: The garden as an extension of our living space, an original and practical solution for real people.
The emphasis needs to be on designing a real garden that reflects the lifestyle of real people.
There are two separate awards, the Judges' Award and the Public Award.
Deadline for entries: 1st May 2008
Property Brief
These awards are open to property developers, builders, and architects. Properties must have been built from the period of 1st May 2007 - 30th April 2008. Companies may submit single or multiple entries.
Categories for the awards are:
- Best New Build
- Best Interior Design
- Best Conversion
- Best Eco-Friendly Development
- Best Luxury Development
- Best for Directional Design
- Property Developer of the Year 2008 (Public Award)
- Property Developer of the Year 2008 (CFL Award)
Complete the registration form and choose which categories you would like to enter. You should then fax or email this form back to us. There is no fee to pay for each category you enter. Following the instructions and entry criteria, you should then send your completed entries to us before the deadline date stated on the entry form.
The deadline for completed registation is 1st May 2008
Please Note: A separate entry form must be completed for each category you are entering.
The Judges' Award
A panel of judges will independently judge the room sets. They will include, TV's Interior Designer Laura McCree, Nigel Scott of Bulthaup Wilmslow, the editor of Concept For Living, Rebecca Drake and the editor of Spaces Magazine, Emma Hill.
The Public Award
Visitors to The Home & Garden Show, Chester will determine the winner of this award. Voting takes place from 10am, Friday 30th May until 2.00pm on Saturday 31st May 2008.
