A new Independent venture opened in April 2011 in the centre of Chester , Rufus Court OVO home and OVO Café…

OVO is Portugese for egg, and has Latin origins with 'ab ovo ad mala' – meaning from the beginning to the end.

For us opening this new venture; it is a great chance to show off our personal tastes and passion for home accessories, furniture, lighting and glassware all in a Lifestyle setting which celebrates the best of mid century design.

We carefully researched and selected a fantastic range of furniture from Nathan, Fabulous lighting from a young polish design company, quirky items for great gift ideas: tea and coffee retro mugs, retro patterned storage jars, desk bells, American diner style napkin holders, even enamel cake stands and coffee sets. We added unusual personal accessories like earrings made in Chester ,scarfs, and environmental friendly shopping bags. Not forgetting our best selling Trim Phones! Everything carefully chosen, enusuring items are affordable and inspiring.

OVO home represents a new retail concept for Chester, combination of a retail store and a café where our visitors are able to enjoy the finest coffees from Italy (illy),a great selection of wines , beers and spirits, and Cakes made locally, in surroundings featuring the best of Mid Century , 50s through 60s home furnishings.
