We have worked closely with this client over 10 years, and through those years our brief has been to develop “a brand” , a look and a feel for “Gilpin”. Our aim is to reveal the character and personality of the hotel as visually as possible.

The cocktail Bar is one of the most recent additions to the hotel’s guest experience. The design is very forward thinking to capture the younger and more sophisticated spirit of the developing market. Quality, service and luxury are expected. What we think we offer is personality unique to the hotel owners and their surroundings. Through the exceptional detail in finishes, finishing and furnishing to the open nature of the window and door treatments to the gardens and terrace. The budget is considered, but given a little bit extra to provide the quality our most discerning guests expect. For example the consideration of finishes in the bar provide constant interest: decorative plaster, moiré and shagreen, alongside the harder functional and practical finishes of Corian, glass and stainless steel. The lighting element of the space is cutting edge, but understated. Each viewpoint of the room is worth noting, for those aware of their surroundings, Gilpin Cocktail Bar offers it’s individual style with comfort. Versatility is offered through the selected furniture type, grouping and décor, whether the guest is looking for intimacy, social interaction, family grouping or party celebration. This room offers it all, and with it’s recent addition of a baby grand, it is a perfect venue for visiting artists and small clubs, catering for the local trade, offering a little something special.
