Diane Berry Kitchens are located in Prestwich a 10 minute journey out of city centre Manchester; we were founded in 2002 by Diane who started her career in 1980 working for her father’s business in the same town. At the age of 21 she left to fill her portfolio with knowledge and experience only to return to Prestwich in 1988 and in 2002 opened her own studio to establish the family name again.
We only have 1000 square foot and wanted to prove to the industry that small can not only be beautiful but also profitable and some 9 years later are proud to show we have fulfilled this mission.

As you enter the studio you are greeted with a warm and friendly welcome, an offer of a drink and a biscuit. We pride ourselves on the standard of our studio we keep it clean and well stocked. The four displays are dressed and many units are filled with crisp white china to demonstrate how our storage units work. The journey around the studio is designed to be relaxed and informative we ask visitors if they prefer to have a guided tour or to be left to investigate for themselves.

We have albums full of letters of recommendations from over the years and rather than bombard potential clients with words we invite them to sit and read about us and look through albums filled with images of completed installations or even sweep through our ipad filled with images too. We have a drawer full of toys to occupy children and small gifts to reward them for good behaviour; it is good for parents if the children look forward to coming in as they are usually dragged unwillingly from shop to shop. We even invite bored teenagers to surf the net if they aren’t carrying their own electronic entertainment.

In our small studio the moment the door bell pings to tell us we have a visitor, they are the most important thing, whatever we have on our desks it has to wait so we are there to make a drink or play with little ones. Our WC even has baby changing facility and we are fully accessible for wheelchair users.

We offer a full design service and have floor tile samples, wall papers, lighting etc everything we need to know about kitchens we know and if we cannot answer a question we always get a client an answer. No job is too small if someone pops in for a hinge, a handle, a bin etc even if we haven’t done their kitchen we try and help them by finding what they need or directing them to a company that can help.

We also do regular cookery demonstrations and charity events to keep our clients feeling comfortable with us, so they are always happy to call or pop in if they have any queries with their kitchens. We now have clients who have had two and three kitchens from us every time they move house they are back. We have seen clients going into their first home and then watched and seen their families grow and even attended two client’s children’s weddings and written replies from Father Christmas to help parents disguise their hand writing.

This year we will turnover well in excess of 1.5 million excluding vat and with a small tight knit caring team this is a great adventure every day.
