Liverpool Housing Trust (LHT) is pleased to put forward its £2 million new build head office development, De Lacy House, recently completed on behalf of Ribble Valley Homes, Clitheroe.

This high quality office development sits nestled in the historic market town of Clitheroe, in the scenic Ribble Valley.

De Lacy House is a unique building which strikes the right balance between making its presence known in the centre of Clitheroe; whilst blending in with the landmark railway station and meeting local conservation requirements.

Fabric design and specification was developed to ensure the building is as environmentally friendly as possible and meets BREAM standard.

Design of this steel framed building was to a very exacting standard and involved close collaboration between Ribble Valley Homes, (as clients), Liverpool Housing Trust, Bardsley Construction, Ribble Valley Council planners and Places Matter.

The result is that Architects Croft Goode Partnership, have arrived at a design that exceeds mandatory planning requirements with special details such as the zig zag roof, alongside the stone to most elevations and a balcony view of Clitheroe Castle.

By incorporating oversized windows, there is significant light and energy gain into the building, creating an uplifting and airy space for employees and visitors alike.

Overall quality of the build reflects the open and collaborative project team approach embraced by all parties and honed by Markham's cost consultants.

Despite initial concerns about meeting the clients exacting brief at a time of financial constraints; this is a well executed project which exceeds expectations.
