Established by its founder, Sally Chamley in 2004, Black Orchid Interiors is one of the first luxury online mail order companies to bring high quality furniture direct from the web to its discerning customers' door.
Sally Chamley chose to start the company as a result of her love for property development and the success that she was experiencing from the finished look of her projects. Some 7 years on and Black Orchid Interiors has grown exponentially attracting wealthy clients from the North West and many in central London.
Twelve months ago Sally was successful in securing funding from Beer & Partners, London to grow her luxury brand. This funding sent Sally to factories in India, Vietnam, Poland and the UK to devleop her own exclusive range only available through Black Orchid Interiors.
This capsule range was showcased at Grand Designs Live in April 2011 and attracted the attention of House of Fraser.
Sally is currently in contracts to sign up to House of Fraser, London, Manchester and Birmingham in 2012. The concessions will look identical to the uploaded images showcased at Grand Designs Live.
The Black Orchid Interiors luxury lifestyle brand has been designed by Sally to give its clients an opulent shopping experience, designed to encourage statement pieces that appeal to those that like something different.
Customers and press at Grand Designs were amazed by the 'house' that Black Orchid built to house its products. The house gave the products context and helped the client understand that it's not just the product, but all that it is teamed with that delivers a luxury end result.
The oversized 'bookcase wall' that has been developed to house small items of furniture is particularly useful as it lifts product off the floor area creating more profitable space for the concession. Plus it allows clients to visualise the product in an entertaining manor,
Black Orchid Interiors is bucking the trend of the recession and has doubled its turnover this year on last year. Press interest is growing day by day and Black Orchid Interiors were asked to furnish the house on the hit TV series Britain & Irelands Next Top Model on Sky Living TV.
Sally Chamley continues to design new pieces for the range and will double its offering in 2012. This unique design and photography by the owner of the company and her approach to brand has raised the Black Orchid Interiors profile as a trand setter rather than a retailer that buys in stock from existing UK wholesalers. Most retailers simply mark up exitsing prices from designs already established. Black Orchid Interiors is creating its own fashion furniture!
