Originally a tired 4 bedroom detached house in a desirable location in Altrincham. Cream & Black were instructed to manage all aspects of the project, leading each stage of the build and design process. Space planning early on in the design process was key to cohesion between the existing structure and new extension.
Our main objective of this complete renovation project was to design a fun and functional, family home. The importance of having an open plan living and kitchen area appealed to our client, so to the rear of the property we designed an extension which was a large open plan family space overlooking the gardens.
It was important that the spaces had their own distinction without the use of walls dividing the rooms. Functionality was key to this family home and we wanted to ensure that as the children grow up and the family develops the interior will continue to work for them, so we space planned the ground floor keeping the lounge and kids room as separate spaces.
