Sarah Jane has an enviable eye for design, possessing a keen aesthetic sense of style, combined with hands on experience.
Sarah is no ‘cushion scatterer’ having cut her teeth in the design worlds of London, Moscow and Dubai. Sarah’s UK base is nestled within the beautiful English Lakes, where she returned to build her home with her family.
Sarah’s home was one of the first selected for Channel 5’s, ‘I Own Britain’s Best Home 2008’ winning her a place within the top contenders for the breathtaking design of her Lake District home.
Career Background

After graduating in Fine Art and Design from her homeland, Scotland, Sarah began her professional career designing and managing concept brasserie cafes and bars in Edinburgh. She then moved south to join a Knightsbridge firm of architects, Michael Lyell Associates as project designer responsible for the interior restoration and refurbishment of various conservation projects and Grade 1 and 11 listed buildings within Grosvenor Estates, English Heritage and abroad.
She spent 10 years at Michael Lyell gaining international interior design and project management experience in government properties and private residences in London, Moscow, Paris, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates.
Before returning to the UK, Sarah was based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates leaving her indelible design mark on the explosion of the Middle East’s new build development in private villas, hotel suites, public areas, restaurants, private clubs and exclusive bars.
She returned home to the UK in 1999 to consider more localised private commissions, in particular the restoration and renovation of traditional Lakeland properties alongside the fresh excitement of new-build development, specification and project management.
