FUNCTION ROOM

‘The Mulberry’ was the third flagship managed house designed for Robinsons Brewery. The vision was to design a unique interior/exterior scheme which was going to make the industry take note, and with the unprecedented success of ‘The Airport’, we hoped to win some more design awards.

The emphasis was to design a scheme which met the operational needs for flexibility of large groups, families and functions, but ensuring this didn’t compromise the design or feel of the interior spaces. It was also key to get the balance right between the design being informal enough to wear shorts and a t-shirt throughout the day, but formal enough so that it was also a premium destination/venue come the evening.

With a major investment budget of over £1 million, the target was to make ‘The Mulberry’ another stand-out site for the Robinson family, with the hope becoming an industry leader within the premium pub & restaurant sector both visually and operationally.
