Development of five individual luxury spa suites, each with their own individual spa treatment area, to compliment the existing accommodation at Gilpin Hotel and Lake House.

Refined minimal elegance was the foundation to the design of these spa suites, reflected in the layout, structural resolution and facade detailing. The facade materials are reflections of the contextual landscape to ensure that the visual impact of the suites is minimal.

The Spa Suites appear very simple and minimal from the exterior. This builds to the surprise of its luxurious interior. Like most designs that appear simple, this has been achieved through extensive and exhaustive attention to every detail, in order to achieve the seamless aesthetic that exaggerates the furnishings and settings.

Over time the natural weathering of these materials will make them look as though they are extensions of the natural landscape rising out of the ground.
