Cream & Black Interior Design established in 2013 and sits in the heart of Worcestershire, founder and Company Director Hannah graduated with a BA (Hons) in Textile Design from Central Saint Martins (CSM) College, London. Hannah has extensive fashion, textiles and design experience, and is skilled at creating personalised interiors for both residential and commercial clients. Alongside Hannah the Cream & Black team consists of 3 other members who offer a combination of design and industry experience.
Raising awareness about Cream & Black through social media and by word of mouth has enabled us to work with local residents, along with house-hold names like Bosch. Our knowledge of the industry is essential, as it assists our ethos to give an all-round flexible design experience. We are about to launch our website and are looking forward to gaining new clients and the projects that follow.
Our team are continuously on the hunt for suppliers who offer reliable and quality products, working closely to build relationships for the future. We offer work experience placements to design graduates who work alongside us in the studio, which is a great help and we pass on our industry knowledge to them.
At Cream & Black, we view interior design as a personal journey, which is why we work closely with our clients to create spaces infused with character and personality. We believe great design comes from collaboration. For us, it’s all about making connections and discovering fresh ways of doing things. It’s about not being afraid to think differently and having fun along the way. We visit Decorex, London design Festival, 100% Design, Tent and various other design trade shows to inspire our designs and expand our knowledge of products and materials.
For us, the design process begins by listening to the story our clients want to tell about their space. We take time to get to know our clients, to understand their goals for the project, before translating their vision into a clear project plan. We’re constantly learning from one another and the world around us, taking inspiration from modern and traditional influences.
Whether our clients like to be fully involved or take a step back, we establish the scope of their project, taking into account the budget and deadlines. We can manage every stage of a project, collaborating with contractors on site and behind the scenes to ensure a seamless experience for our clients from beginning to end.
From hand-drawn sketches to 3D visuals and CAD drawings, we’ll use a variety of tools to help our clients visualise the finished project and give a sense of the scale, proportion and look of the design.
We believe design is a tactile experience, which is why we’ll also create mood and sample boards offering inspiration on fabrics, paints, textures and colourways. We work with skilled craftsmen and local tradesmen to source bespoke, made-to-order furnishings; ensuring we keep on track with the overall design objective. Whether it’s sourcing artwork and bespoke accessories or reintroducing a loved leather sofa, we’ll guide our clients through their interior design selections and carefully place every item to ensure impeccable results.
We also offer a bespoke styling service from studio apartments to country manor homes, and can tailor any scheme to meet the clients design brief. We’ll work with builders and developers to ensure the project runs smoothly, as well as sourcing architectural hardware, furniture and soft furnishings – from wall coverings through to textiles.
