Mr. Simon McIlwraith
Collective design
Gateshead

Simon McIlwraith established Collective design 5 years ago. In that time his aim has been to create exciting and beautiful interiors which are both imaginative and operationally work.
Simon has directed his business into one of the most creative and commercially minded design practices in the U.K. He has been able to develop his unique style which is distinctive. His focus, attitude and desire to constantly want to create with passion and to be innovative has gained him success in today’s competitive market.
Collective design has gone from strength to strength within only a few years. With offices in the heart of Newcastle and working with some of the biggest brand names in the commercial sector. Simon prides himself on very high standards, originality and creativity. Where he considers every detail and investigates every possibility.

“The last few years have been the best I have ever encountered. I wake up every morning wanting to design and to come up with new ideas. I am very proud of what Collective design has become, it was only a few years ago I set the business up, working from home. I think humble beginnings have made me what I am today”.
This year Simon is concentrating on expansion as he looks to grow his team. He is also looking at diversifying into the hotel and care home markets. Simons own range of commercial wallpaper designs also look to grow this year with more designs imminent under his Hauls of Collective brand.
