Lisa Keates - Keates Interiors of Cheshire
Since starting the business two years ago Lisa Keates has built up an impressive port folio of projects ranging from a grade II listed Georgian Hall set in a National Trust estate and a Westminster penthouse apartment to a boutique bike shop.
She has built up a reputation as a very capable designer with a huge amount of feathers to her bow. Skills range from interior layout and spacial design, architectural detailing, lighting design, bathroom design and refined cabinetry design, to bespoke floor design. This enables her to take a project from its initial concept, and oversee every element of the interior design to produce completed projects that are unified in their styling down to the tiniest detail. An ability that is most appreciated by her private clients.
Her personal ethos when taking on a new project is to create an individual aesthetic for the project that combines the architectural style of the property, its setting in the landscape and the personality and aspirations of the client.
Projects this year have ranged from a refurbished and extended modern family home in Stratford upon Avon where she has created an elegant and effortless style for the client that combines matt finishes in concrete and silver oak with copper and polished plaster finishes and a touch of industrial influence, to a very traditional original hunting lodge being converted and restored to its former glory with antique Versailles panel flooring, a teak panelled powder room and dupion silk walled dining room applied to a traditional 200 year old technique.
Recently moving into new offices and taking on a new member of the team, Keates Interiors of Cheshire is moving from strength to strength. Awards this year include finalist of the SBID International Design Awards.
