Hop and Cleaver
The Hop and Cleaver is located in one of the most historic buildings on Newcastle’s Quayside. The former merchant’s warehouse is grade 1 listed and its unique architecture made the Hop and Cleaver a challenging project. But what was born out of exceptional constraints and circumstances resulted in this exciting and unique bar and eatery concept.
At the Hop the expert chefs smoke their own meats for a unique taste in the “American Smoke Ovens”. Whilst the in-house brewery, brews an array of crafted beers available at the bar or the private tap rooms. The Hop and Cleaver also has one of the finest and largest selections of Bourbons in the U.K which complements the smoked food menu perfectly.
