Deborah Bowness was born and raised in York and she has been designing and making wallpapers since 2001. Her unique design style has earned her world-wide acknowledgement in the interiors industry. Her original collection of designs (now known as the Artist's Collection), includes the iconic Genuine Fake Bookshelf, Wallpaper Frocks and Illusions of Grandeur. These designs are machine printed on 3.3m drops, hand silk screen printed with colour and finished with hand painted detail. The wallpapers are made in-house in at the small WALLPAPER by deborah bowness factory, near York. They are shipped to destinations all around the world and also service the UK's commercial and residential interiors market. The luxury collection is regarded as functional wall coverings and works of art. Trompe L'oeil with a unique deborah bowness twist.

This year, WALLPAPER by deborah bowness is proud to present The Standards Collection: a collection of beautiful, high quality wallpapers and borders printed on 10 or 5 metre rolls. Prices are competitive in comparison to other high end, high street wallpapers. However, The Standards Collection really does stand apart, as deborah manages to capture photo-real depth, and witty and whimsical beauty through her choice of colours and unique design style. This collection of wallpapers is printed in house, using a technique exclusive to WALLPAPER by deborah bowness. Launching the Standards Collection are: The Bric-a-Brac range. The New Cross Tiles range and Utility Tiles.
Bric-A-Brac: Everyday objects taken from a French farmhouse. Borders and Wallpapers make up this range.
New Cross Tiles: A range of wallpapers and borders intended to mix and match, recreating the interiors of old London pubs.
Utility Tiles: A collection of patterned tiles and surfaces from around the world.
