Urban Splash: Chimney Pot Park, Salford
Property developer Urban Splash has turned the traditional Victorian terrace house upside down at Chimney Pot Park, Langworthy, Salford. The development is part of a major redevelopment of Central Salford’s seven central wards, led by the Central Salford Regeneration Company.
Urban Splash has preserved the traditional street scene of the city’s famous terraced houses whilst creating eco-friendly homes built to exceptionally high quality design standards. The interiors of the houses have been remodelled, with light and spacious living/dining areas and gardens raised to the first floor level, and bedrooms and bathrooms located at the lower level. A proportion of the homes have been aimed exclusively at first time buyers to enable them to get on the property ladder.
Awards judge Alison Wallace said: “Urban Splash literally changed directional design at Chimney Pot Park, by turning terraced houses on their heads, to create an oasis of fantastic designer homes, which maximise both indoor and outdoor space.” Visit: www.urbansplash.co.uk
