Earle and Ginger
Earle and Ginger in Didsbury is the brainchild of owner Michael McMahon who invested 15 years’ experience into his kitchen studio. Michael’s individual and friendly approach fitted perfectly with Didsbury’s desire to ‘shop local’, keeping the village vibrant. Michael was soon joined by Vincent Bentham, a partnership that has made the company highly respected and renowned in the area. Their reputation grew quickly and this month saw the opening of their Hale Village studio, Cheshire. Michael has a dedicated team of four staff, plus two teams of kitchen fitters
Says Michael: Our showrooms have widespread and unrivalled appeal, displaying tasters of a broad and exciting range of designs. We deliberately create spaces that not only look beautiful but are entirely functional too; warm and inviting zones that anyone will feel comfortable nosing around. Metris, our flagship contemporary collection sets the scene, plus classic and painted ranges to accommodate all tastes. Coupled with the new design-led Hale Village showroom the design possibilities are endless.
We aim to keep our customers for life, delivering the whole package. We understand that finding the perfect kitchen is crucial when creating a home, it must function perfectly as well as look stunning. Time and patience ensure the final result meets the client brief and we will never rush this process, appreciating it’s often the finishing touches that make all the difference. We offer a service as distinctive as the customers themselves; guiding from the early stages, involved with architects and builders, helping make strong ideas a reality. Our customer service policy is simple really; the customer comes first!
The contemporary Metris collection is at the forefront of our portfolio, having won the prestigious 2010 Grand Designs Best Kitchen Award it is an important and increasingly sought-after range. As the exclusive Metris dealer in the area, our customers are always impressed with the hallmark, design registered, flexible, sweeping curves that make Metris the kitchen for modern living. That said, we are an independent and purposely offer extensive choice, as we don’t want to have only one client-type. For instance, Didsury’s lovely period properties lend themselves to elegant Shaker painted kitchens, often having chimney-breasts for traditional range cookers. We aim to offer design solutions to answer every client’s desire and are able to create bespoke pieces if necessary. www.earleandginger.com
Comments Dave Trickett of his Earle & Ginger Metris Kitchen ‘On our first visit to the showroom we stumbled upon our ‘Eureka’ moment: a combination of finding the right design and the right person. The Metris Wave Curve® really stood out and was exactly what we had been searching for. However, as much as the product, it was Vinnie, the designer, who impressed me. From the minute I walked in, on-spec, he was friendly, with a no-pressure approach, instinctively understanding what we wanted and crucially, being able to deliver it. Our kitchen is beautiful, yet so functional, creating a comfortable and safe working zone. It’s the centre of our family life where everything happens.’
